Charles Kent Wilson (January 29, 1953) is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and former lead singer of the Gap Band. He is also known as Uncle Charlie. Wilson has been honored with 13 Grammy Award nominations, 11 NAACP Image Award nominations (and two wins), a Soul Train Icon Award in 2009, and a BMI Icon Award in 2005 for his work as a solo artist. The BET Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Wilson on June 30, 2013.

Wilson was invited to join Bruno Mars on the final leg of the 24K Magic Tour in 2018. Wilson's hit 2020 song "Forever Valentine" was co-produced, co-written, and features background vocals by Mars. The single reached the top spot on the Adult R&B chart on Billboard.

By 2020, Wilson had contributed to the Grammy-winning album King's Disease by Nas, appearing on the track "Car #85" and the song "Roots" alongside Amine and JID. A collaboration with Brockhampton, titled "I'll Take You On," featured him in 2021.

Wilson has also contributed vocals and worked on various tracks with other R&B, rap, and hip-hop artists. He frequently collaborates with Snoop Dogg. He was voted Billboard's top adult R&B artist in 2009 & 2020, and his song "There Goes My Baby" was ranked as the top urban adult hit of 2009.

In addition to "Wanted Dead Or Alive," which featured Wilson on the hook and 2Pac & Snoop rapping, Wilson collaborated with 2Pac & the Dogg Pound on the unreleased song "Just Watching" (1996).
