Christopher Alan Young is a country music singer and songwriter from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He is also a Barmageddon contestant. Young began participating in several children's theater plays at a young age and had an early interest in music. He joined the choir at Oakland High School and started playing at neighborhood clubs while a student there. He was a mariachi vocalist in the 2000 production of "A Night at the Palladium" with his high school's Winter Drumline.

The 34-year-old caught his biggest break in 2006 when he emerged as the TV singing competition Nashville Star winner. After this win, RCA Records Nashville signed Young and released his self-titled debut album later in the same year. Two tracks from the album, You're Gonna Love Me and Drinkin' Me Lonely, became featured on the Hot Country Songs charts.

Some of his notable discographies include Neon (2011), A.M. (2013), I'm Comin' Over (2015), It Must Be Christmas (2016), and Losing Sleep (2017). On November 20, 2020, the third single from the album, "Famous Friends," featuring Kane Brown, a friend of Young's, was made public. On August 6, 2021, the album with the same name was released. The fourth single from the album, "At the End of a Bar," with Mitchell Tenpenny, was available on September 13, 2021.
