Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Ontario. He attended a French-language immersion elementary school and later graduated from high school in Stratford, Ontario. Bieber was only 12 when he sang Ne-Yo's "So Sick" for a local singing competition in 2007. The video was uploaded on YouTube, and his popularity quickly began to grow. In 2008, Bieber went to Atlanta, Georgia, to record demo tapes with Braun. One week later, he was singing for Usher. His music is defined as pop and R&B. Bieber was discovered by one of the American record executives Scooter Braun who signed the young artist in 2008 with RBMG Records.

"One Time" was the first single by Bieber that was released in July 2009. The song hit number 12 on the Canadian Hot 100 within the first week of its release. Later, it received platinum certification in the US and Canada while gold in New Zealand and Australia.

Some of his other early releases include an extended play entitled My World, singles, "Love Me," and "Favorite Girl." He promoted his first album by performing various live shows for the European program The Dome, mtvU's VMA 09 Tour, YTV's The Next Star, The Today Show, Lopez Tonight, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Good Morning America, and Chelsea Lately.

Believe (2012), Purpose (2015), Changes (2020), and Justice (2021) are some of the studio albums released by Bieber. His recent singles include Attention (2022), Peaches (2021), Holy (2021), and Somebody (2021). His notable filmography includes Behaving Badly (2014), Lip Sync Battle (2015), Killing Hasselhoff (2017), and Justin Bieber: Seasons (2020).
