Lord Huron is a Los Angeles-based indie rock band from the U.S. Mark Barry on drums and percussion, Miguel Briseño on bass, piano, and theremin, Tom Renaud on guitar, and Ben Schneider, the band's founder on guitar and lead vocals, makes up the band. The band's first studio album, 2012's Lonesome Dreams, was followed by a string of solo and self-produced EPs; May 2021 saw the release of Long Lost, the band's most recent LP.

The Wall Street Journal characterized Lord Huron's style as comprising "a decidedly cinematic flair, heavy on mood and evocative imagery," describing it as a fusion of country, western, folk rock, rock & roll, pop melodies, surf rock, soundtrack, and new age elements. "Lord Huron" evokes the soaring, solitary tones of bands like Neil Young, My Morning Jacket, Fleet Foxes, and the Band.

Episode three of Alive from Whispering Pines aired on March 18, 2021, and it ended with the rumored title and release date of their fourth studio album, Long Lost, set for May 21, 2021.
