The National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) is a symphony orchestra in Washington, D.C., that performs American and international repertoire. It was established in 1930 by cellist Hans Kindler, and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is its primary venue. The National Memorial Day Concert and A Capitol Fourth relied on them as their official orchestra.
