Sam Fender (April 25, 1994) is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He was born in North Shields, England. His strong tenor voice and native Geordie accent stand out over music with a traditional rock foundation. Fender's music draws heavily from his origins in vintage American music and classic British rock. Both critics and fellow musicians have praised his skills as a songwriter.

Fender was a native North Shields resident. Around 14, he discovered his calling as a singer-songwriter and has since published many singles independently, earning him a spot on the BBC's Sound of 2018 list. Fender's debut EP, Dead Boys, was published on Polydor Records in November 2018. His debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, topped the UK Albums Chart upon its September 2019 release and received the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Awards.

The first song, "Seventeen Going Under," was a huge success in the United Kingdom after being released from his second album, Seventeen Going Under, in October 2021. The Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically and The Brit Award for Best British Alternative/Rock Act was presented to Fender in 2022.
