The Columbus Clippers are the Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Guardians and a Minor League Baseball (IL) team. They are based in Columbus, Ohio, and named after the Swift Clippers commercial sailing boats. Since 2009, Huntington Park has served as the team's home field. From 1977 to 2008, they were regulars at Cooper Stadium.

In 1977, the Clippers joined the Triple-A International League. They were moved to the Triple-A East in 2021 as part of MLB's reorganization of Minor League Baseball. In 2022, the division was called the IL. They were affiliated with the New York Yankees for 28 years (1979–2006), during which time they won seven Illinois League championships. 

After the 2020 season, Major League Baseball took over Minor League Baseball to raise player compensation, update facility requirements, and cut down on travel. The Clippers kept their connection with the Cleveland Indians and were grouped into the Triple-A East. Following Major League Baseball's 2021 restructuring, the Triple-A East formally became the International League in 2022, a term previously used by the regional circuit.
