Minor League Baseball's Hillsboro Hops call this place home. On June 14, 2013, the Hillsboro Hops lost their debut game, 3-2, away to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. The first hit for the squad came from Ryan Gebhardt, while Brian Billigen scored the first RBI. On June 17, in the home opener at Hillsboro Ballpark against the Eugene Emeralds, they recorded their first victory. Jordan Parr hit the first home run in the Hops' history during the inaugural home opener, which was seen by 4,710 sold-out fans.

Breaking Vancouver's record of five consecutive seasons, the Hops secured a postseason spot for the sixth consecutive season on August 28, 2019. They played the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes in the divisional stage and won both games to get to their first Northwest League championships since 2015. The first game saw Hillsboro down 3-1 going into the bottom of the ninth inning, but they scored four runs in the inning, with Andy Yerzy hitting a walk-off three-run home bomb.

Veronica Gajownik became the first openly LGBTQ manager in minor or major league baseball history and the first woman to manage a minor league Class High-A baseball team when she was hired to lead the Hops in January 2023. This minor league baseball club plays "Sonadores de Hillsboro" in the "Copa de Diversion" tournament.
