Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, located on the Bloomington, Indiana campus of Indiana University, hosts home basketball games for the Hoosiers. Increased access to sports and a more positive attitude toward female athletes were hallmarks of Indiana University's Maxwell Era of Women's Basketball. The 2017–18 Indiana Hoosiers season was historic in and of itself. In front of a program record-breaking audience of 13,007 at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall, the Hoosiers won the 2018 WNIT with a record of 23-14, led by seniors Tyra Buss and Amanda Cahill. Buss is one of the all-time greats to graduate from Indiana University's basketball team. He ranks third all-time in Hoosiers history with 2,204 points, behind only Steve Alford and Calbert Cheaney. Buss also owns the program marks for assists, free throws made, points, and points scored.
