In 1913, Donerail had the longest odds of any winning horse at 91 to 1. In 2022, Rich Strike beat out the field against odds of 80 to 1. This was the second-highest payout in history. Only three horses in history—Apollo (1882), Justify (2018), and Mage (2023)—have won the Kentucky Derby without having raced as a juvenile.
