The Wake Forest Demon Deacons men's basketball team plays in the ACC and is part of Wake Forest University's NCAA Division I basketball program. The 1962 season was Wake Forest's Final Four season. This program has produced NBA players like Hall of Famer Tim Duncan, 12× All-Star Chris Paul, 1× All-Star Jeff Teague, Sixth Man of the Year Rodney Rogers, and 1× All-Star Josh Howard. 

The Demon Deacons triumphed in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament on four separate occasions in 1961, 1962, 1995, and 1996. With their most recent appearance in 2017, Wake Forest has made 23 appearances in NCAA tournaments. Steve Forbes was hired on April 30, 2020, and is now the coach.

Wake Forest announced Danny Manning's employment on April 8, 2014. The Demon Deacons' 13-19 overall record and 5-13 ACC record were disappointing, considering the high expectations going into his debut season. Virginia Tech would eliminate them from the ACC tournament in the opening round.

On March 8, Virginia Tech defeated Wake Forest in the second round of the 2017 ACC Tournament. Additionally, the squad was invited to the NCAA Tournament. Wake Forest was 10th in the Atlantic Coast Conference with a 19-14 overall record and a 9-9 record in conference play. After six years with the club, Manning was fired as head coach following the 2019–20 season. Wake Forest's next head coach, Steve Forbes, was announced on April 30, 2020.
