Charlie Berens (April 27, 1987) is an American comedian and journalist born in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. One of twelve children, Berens was born into a devout Catholic family. Elm Grove and New Berlin, Wisconsin, were home to him as a child. After finishing high school at Marquette University, he enrolled in the University of Wisconsin – Madison to study broadcast journalism. 

Berens got his start in the industry on the MTV News program Choose or Lose. The Cripescast is a podcast that Berens started in June 2020 in which he talks to creative types from the Midwest about their work and how they're connected to the region. Card Sale, a card-based party game with a Yard Sale theme, was released on Kickstarter on September 1, 2022, and created by Berens and Dane Schaefer. 

Berens delivered the graduating address at the University of Wisconsin at Madison's Winter commencement on December 18, 2022. Berens incorporated bits of his stand-up comedy act from Wisconsin during his address to discuss his struggles as a young journalist after college.
