Criss Angel – whose real name is Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos – is a magician, illusionist, and musician originally from New York and performing in Las Vegas, Nevada. His career in Magic began in New York before he moved out to Las Vegas.

Some of his career milestones include featuring in the live performance illusion show by Cirque du Soleil at the Luxor Casino. The show made about $150 million from the revenues charged on tourists visiting the casino in 2010. Mindfreak LIVE later replaced the show. He had also starred in the TV and stage show Criss Angel Mindfreak in May 2016. A show that though partly produced by the Cirque, all the directive rights go to Criss Angel.

Criss Angel has been on more primetime TV hours than any other magician in the world. He has also broken several world-records in his magic performance career, something that led to the International Magicians Society crowning him the Magician of the Decade in 2009, and in the following year, the Magician of the Century.
