Jerome Allen Seinfeld (April 29, 1954) is an American writer, actor, producer, and stand-up comedian. His mother, Betty (who was born Hosni), was Jewish, as were her parents, Selim and Salha Hosni. When they arrived in America in 1917, they claimed Turkish citizenship because Syria was then part of the Ottoman Empire. Carolyn is Seinfeld's older sister. Seinfeld was raised in Massapequa, New York, and graduated from Long Island's Massapequa High School. He enrolled at the State University of New York at Oswego before transferring to Queens College of the City University of New York, which took place after his second year. He earned a degree in communications and theatre from Queens College in 1976

It was revealed in 2019 that in 2020, Netflix would premiere 23 Hours to Kill. It is Seinfeld's first original stand-up special in 22 years. The debut of the program was on May 5. At The New Yorker Festival, which took place in October 2020, Seinfeld and Steve Martin talked about comedy and discussed their similar interests.

Seinfeld also wrote the foreword of the Peanut Butter & Co. Cookbook. Seinfeld's new book, Is This Anything?, came out in October of 2020. His whole 45-year comedic career is covered in Seinfeld's best work.
