Jersey Boys is a jukebox play with an adaptation by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Dramatizing the rise and fall of rock 'n' roll band The Four Seasons in the '60s, it follows their story in a documentary-style presentation. Four "seasons" make up the musical, each narrated by a different band member who offers his take on the show's background and songs. The songs include "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Sherry", "Walk Like A Man," "My Eyes Adored You," "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)", "Stay," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," "Who Loves You," "Working My Way Back to You" together with "Rag Doll."

After making its 2004 debut at the La Jolla Playhouse, the musical went on to a successful run on Broadway from 2005 to 2017. Since its premiere, there have been two national tours in the U.S. and two in the U.K. and Ireland. The performance was produced in London's West End, Las Vegas, Chicago, Toronto, Melbourne, the Netherlands, China, Japan, Dubai, South Africa, and Singapore. 

With four Tonys under its belt in 2006, including Best Musical, Jersey Boys won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2009. The news that Jersey Boys would triumphantly return to London's Trafalgar Theatre in April 2021 broke in October 2020. After work was delayed due to the U.K. pandemic, previews finally began on July 28, and the show was opened on August 10, 2021. They also introduced a new cast member. Up to January 4, 2024, the musical was under production.
