John Edmund Mulaney (August 26, 1982) is an American comedian, actor, writer, and producer. Mulaney, a native of Chicago, initially gained recognition for his contributions as a writer, especially to the NBC sketch comedy show SNL from 2008 to 2013. At the same time, he worked on various sketches and characters, notably Stefon, a recurrent character he and Bill Hader co-created. Mulaney has hosted the show many times since he left SNL and joined the SNL Five-Timers Club in 2022.

In addition to The Top Part (2009) and New in Town (2012), Mulaney has released The Comeback Kid (2015), Kid Gorgeous (2018), and Baby J (2023) as stand-up specials. In 2018, for Kid Gorgeous, he was awarded the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch (2019), a Mulaney Netflix special for kids, is a musical comedy.

In 2014 and 2015, he created and starred in the Fox sitcom Mulaney, loosely based on his life. Oh, Hello on Broadway (2016) featured Mulaney and Nick Kroll as a comic pair, with both men playing the role of George St. Geegland. Documentary Now! (IFC, 2015–present) features Mulaney in recurring roles as co-executive producer, writer, and sometimes performer.

In the Netflix original animated series Big Mouth (2015–present), Mulaney provides the voice of Andrew Glouberman. Chip in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers, Big Jack Horner in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022), and Peter Porker/Spider-Ham in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).
