Kevin Hart (July 6, 1979) is an American actor and comedian born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hart dropped out of Community College of Philadelphia after a semester after graduating from George Washington High School and relocating to New York City. After settling in Brockton, Massachusetts, he entered the shoe retailing industry. Hart's debut stand-up performance was at Philadelphia's The Laff House under Lil Kev's moniker, and it was a flop.

Hart appeared in the 2022 comedic film Me Time starring Mark Wahlberg. In the film, Hart plays Sonny, a guy who finally gets a weekend off and goes on an adventure with his best friend. Hart House, a vegan eatery he opened in August 2022, was meant to be the first of a network that would offer "flavorful plant-based alternatives" to fast food restaurants.

Several comedians and performers, including George Carlin, Dave Chappelle, Bill Cosby, Eddie Murphy, Patrice O'Neal, Richard Pryor, Keith Robinson, Chris Rock, and Jerry Seinfeld, have been recognized as inspirations by Hart. Hart tore his lower abductors on his abdomen while competing in a 40-yard dash with former NFL running back Stevan Ridley on August 23, 2023. Recovering in a wheelchair, he declared himself the "dumbest man alive" and warned others not to try his racing strategy, saying, "The age of 40 is real."
