Stephen Glenn Martin (August 14, 1945) is an American comedian, writer, actor, and musician from Waco, Texas, and is 74 years old. Martin's very first job was at Disneyland, where he used to sell guidebooks on weekends. During his school's summer break, he used to carry out this job full-time. The first film appearance of Martin was an accident during the making of the short-subject film Disneyland Dream. He was captured in the background. Later, Martin learned tricks from the Main Street Magic shop, and by 1960, he took a paid job at the Magic shop in Fantasyland after mastering several magic tricks. After school, Martin attended Santa Ana College, where he took drama and English poetry classes. He soon met budding actress Stormie Sherk and developed a romantic relationship and a comedy routine. Martin began his official career by landing a writing job. He submitted his work to head writer Mason Williams and got paid. He won an Emmy Award for this work. Since then, he has released several notable discographies, including The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo 2009, Live (with Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell) 2014, and The Long-Awaited Album 2017, among others. He also appeared in many films and series, but Martin said in August 2022 that the series Only Murders in the Building will most likely be his final appearance. He elaborated that he wants to avoid seeking roles or cameos in other shows or films when the series concludes. Martin and Short co-hosted Saturday Night Live the same year, with Gomez making a cameo.
