It was formerly known as Oakland Alameda County Coliseum Arena (1966–1996) and The Arena in Oakland (1997–2005). This arena was opened to the general public on November 9, 1966, with a construction cost of US$24 million. It is operated by the AEG. This venue served as home to the Golden State Warriors from the year 1971 till the current year. The architect of the arena is designed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill while the renovation was done by HNTB.
