Bryan Guy Adams (November 5, 1959) is a Canadian photographer, record producer, singer, and songwriter born in Kingston, Ontario. Adams's self-titled debut album was published when he was 20, and he formed his first band at age 15. When the title track from his album Cuts Like a Knife and the heartfelt "Straight From the Heart" became top ten hits in the United States in 1983, he became a household name in the continent's northern half. Reckless, released in 1984, became his first number-one album in Canada and the United States.

Adams's next album is scheduled for release via Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) in July 2021. Adams' fifteenth studio album, So Happy It Hurts, was released on October 11, 2021. In March of 2022, the record finally saw release. Adams has also revealed tour dates for a global trek set to get off in February 2022. This album's track, "So Happy It Hurts," was nominated for a 2023 Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance.

After the cast album was released in October 2018, Adams and Jim Vallance announced via his official Instagram account that on February 15, 2022, new versions of the 16 songs from Pretty Woman: The Musical, sung by Adams himself, would be published on his official YouTube channel. Adams's Classic, an album of updated and recreated favorites, was released on April 1, 2022. Classic Pt II arrived on July 29, 2022.
