Phish is an American rock band. The group's current lineup comprises Page McConnell, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman, and Trey Anastasio. After expanding their concert footprint beyond New England in the late '80s, Phish had a meteoric surge in popularity in the '90s. The band went on hiatus in October 2000 and returned in December 2002. They split up again in August of 2004. Phish formally reunited in October 2008 for reunion gigs in March 2009 and have been playing together frequently ever since.

After canceling all shows on February 23, 2020, due to the pandemic, Phish finally played again on July 28, 2021. The band unveiled a suite of brand new original science fiction-themed tunes for their 2021 Halloween event under the disguise of the made-up band Sci-Fi Soldier. On October 31, 2022, Phish released Get More Down, a popular studio recording of their Sci-Fi Soldier material.

Since their debut in 1994, the band has played 79 times at Madison Square Garden. Phish, who had previously performed at Madison Square Garden fewer times than Elton John, surpassed him in August 2023. Billboard magazine placed Phish at #33 on their list of the top-grossing concert touring acts of the 2010s in 2019.
