About Rain - A Tribute To The Beatles

A band that pays homage to the Fab Four is Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles. Present members include Steve Landes, Joe Bithorn, Joey Curatolo, Alastar McNeil, Jimmy Pou, Ralph Castelli, Aaron Chiazza, Douglas Cox, Mark Beyer, and Chris Smallwood. There is also an appearance by Alastar McNeil. The band's performance at the 1978 Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon was a milestone in their rise to fame. The Rain Corporation assumed managerial responsibilities for the band in 2001. From October 26, 2010, through January 15, 2011, Rain played at the Neil Simon Theatre on Broadway. It transferred to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre from February 8, 2011, until July 31, 2011. The total number of performances was 300, including eight preview performances. The Beatles' "concert experience," Let It Be, was staged in 2012 by Parry/Annerin Productions and performed in the West End of London.  The Rain Corporation sued Parry and the other producers of Let It Be for copyright infringement in 2013, just before the show was set to premiere on Broadway. With nearly identical artwork, costumes, and song repertoire, Rain asserted that Let It Be was conceptually identical to Rain and should be entitled to half of Let It Be's earnings. Rain Corporation would instead get 7.5% of the revenues, according to Parry and Annerin. An out-of-court settlement was reached.

Essential Event-Day Checklist

Before You Leave

  • Digital Tickets: Download tickets to your phone's wallet now. Venue Wi-Fi is notoriously unreliable.
  • ID Check: Bring a valid photo ID; many venues require it for entry or "Will Call" pickup.
  • Bag Policy: Most venues enforce clear bag policies or limits (typically A4 size or smaller). Check the specific venue site to avoid being turned away.
  • Cash & Cards: While many venues are now cashless, bring some cash as a backup.

Pro-Tips

  • Power Up: Bring a portable power bank. Using your phone for video and ride-sharing will drain your battery fast.
  • Hearing Safety: Use high-fidelity earplugs to enjoy the event while protecting your hearing.
  • Hydration & Energy: Eat a full meal and stay hydrated beforehand.

Dress for Success

  • Footwear: Wear broken-in sneakers or boots. You could be standing for 3–5 hours; avoid new shoes.
  • Layer Up: Wear light layers (flannel or light jacket). Venues can range from chilly to very hot.
  • Style: Be yourself, but it always helps to have pockets or a small crossbody bag to keep essentials secure and hands-free.

Logistics & Safety

  • Arrive Early: Get there 60 minutes before doors to beat the merch and security lines.
  • Transport: Pre-book your ride share or scout parking garages in advance to avoid post-show surges.
  • Stay Safe: Identify your nearest exit upon arrival and designate a meeting spot for your group.
