Yes became famous in 1971 with their album Fragile. This record featured songs like “Roundabout” and “Heart of the Sunrise,” which helped them become one of the most iconic progressive rock bands. Their music was known for long songs, complex playing, and unique album art. The band had members like Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squire, Rick Wakeman, and Bill Bruford—their sound mixed rock, classical, and jazz styles.

Over the years, Yes released many albums, including Close to the Edge in 1972 and Going for the One in 1977. They had several lineup changes but continued to make music and tour. In 1983, they had a big hit with “Owner of a Lonely Heart” from the album 90125. This song brought them new fans and demonstrated their ability to adapt to different music styles. In 2025, Yes is on their Fragile Tour. They are playing the entire Fragile album live, along with other classic songs. The tour started on October 1 in Wallingford, Connecticut, and will end on November 16 in Reno, Nevada. The current band members are Steve Howe, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison, Billy Sherwood, and Jay Schellen.
