The Nationals made history on June 18, 2022, when they retired Ryan Zimmerman's No. 11. All numbers (except for 42) were put back into service after the relocation to the nation's capital, and they will continue in use until 2023.

August will mark the start of Gallo's rehab assignment with Triple-A Rochester; he will play five innings at first base while recovering from a left hamstring strain that has kept him on the injured list since June 12. After that, Gallo will play designated hitter for four at-bats before moving on to right field for five or seven innings.

Patrick Corbin's most recent start was a three-inning loss against the D-backs at Chase Field in which he gave up a season-high ten runs. Fresh off his performance in the series opener against the Giants, Corbin returned to Nationals Park to improve his earned run total.
